Grid Connect tips, tricks and help

Hi all,

I thought it may he good to have a feed where we could share any tips and tricks to do with any of the Grid Connect Range being Arlec, Deta, Verve, Orion.

I am learning from trial and error and really just accident so sharing with others and sharing back we may be able to create some good learning information for us all.

Please post below starting with what the trick is as the title then how to do so as the body of information.

Re: Grid Connect Light Globe won't enter Pairing Mode

Hi @KayEm

You could try another app called Smart Life instead of Grid Connect.

It's the parent app of these devices.

Otherwise it sounds like the devices still have their data on them and are not allowing to flash to them

When trying AP mode (slow) you are selecting the Arlecxxxxx or Smartxxxx wifi when it asks you to?

I'm sure you are just checking.

And you are on 2 4ghz bandwidth wifi only as well to pair them?

Those steps are usually the ones that are moselt important.

Cheers Carl

Re: Grid Connect lights music sync

Hi @kh17,

I've spoken with the technical team at Arlec (Deta's parent company) who have told me that music mode will only work with music that has been downloaded to your phone, not streamed music through apps like Spotify or Apple Music.

You can download music through these apps so they can be accessed without an internet connection. Try doing this and see what results you get.

If this is not successful, it is likely worth giving their technical team a call on 1300 267 168 in Australia and 0800 003 329 in New Zealand so they can talk you through the troubleshooting process as you do it.

Let me know if you have any further questions or require further assistance.

Jacob
