In the process of moving to Perth, had to downsize my workshop, found a great mob at a mens shed to take up the void. Would like to hear of other mens shed experiences

All the best with the big move @popawisky. That's great you have found a terrific Men's shed to join. I know keen woodworker @Wayne has previously mentioned he has joined one, and hopefully other community members can also share experiences.

I joined the XMRC (Ex Military Rehabilitation Centre) Shed a few months ago now, it was something I had intended to do long ago but never got around to it. Would thoroughly recommend it to anyone, lots of woodworking machines available that I don't have and a great social atmosphere. Being retired now it is just good to mix with people again when other friends are working.
Plenty to learn from others and also share my own knowledge or just sit around shooting the breeze.
