How to fill gap between concrete slab and Colorbond shed?

I’ve got a 10mm gap between the concrete slab and my colourbond shed, Allowing rain to fall in. Tried using a silicone but didn’t seem to work. Any suggestions?

Re: waterproofing shed

Hello @bstanl

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about your shed.

Generally speaking, a silicone gap filler is what we usually recommend to cover gaps between a wall and a solid flooring substrate. In order to give our members a better idea of what your situation looks like, would it be possible for you to post a few photos of the gap you are speaking of. We can then make recommendations on what you can possibly do to repair the issue.

If you need a hand posting the photos, please let us know.

Hello! On second inspection it looks like there’s an uneven gap on the shed door. The concrete slab looks to be a few mm slope (less than 10mm). I tried using an adhesive door seal which didn’t work. My thought would be to apply a thin layer of silicone to the gap, allowing to dry before using or having a plate attached to the bottom of the door covering the cap.

Re: waterproofing shed

Hello @bstanl

Thank you for sharing that photo of your shed. If the rain is coming in at an angle and is entering through the gap, I suggest using Moroday MDS2B Self-Adhesive Black Econo Door-Seal. But to make sure that the seal does not fall off, I recommend using some screws or blind rivets to permanently fix it in place. Please remember to drill pilot holes on the door seal to prevent splitting the plastic frame.

If you need further assistance, please let us know.

Re: waterproofing shed

Hello! Yes I went to my local bunnings and purchased the recommended door seal and cut to size. Thankyou for the advice.
