Hi,
I want to fix/cover this exposed metal corner. I looked at few videos and have come up with a plan to apply some Selleys Spakfilla, sand the area and use some paint.
However, when applying spakfilla, it does not stick to exposed metal.
Could I please know what is the correct fix?
Hi @akarki,
Thank you for your question about repairing an external angle in your home.
What you're seeing is a 90° External Angle Plaster Trim.
My advice is to use a plaster product such as this Less Mess Multi-Purpose Joint Compound. Give it a good mix to make the plaster compound fluffy and smooth and then apply it to the corner with a Craftright 100mm Joint Knife, doing your best to follow the contours of the existing plaster.
Once dry, give it a light sand with a sanding sponge before painting to match the surrounding areas.
You might like to have a look at How To Attach And Plaster An External Angle for some further guidance.
Let me know if you have any further questions.
