A crack has appeared in our living room ceiling in the granny flat. Please give us some recommendations on how to fix it. Thank you.

Re: Ceiling Crack
Hello @anne15
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about your ceiling.
Your ceiling plaster board has had a bit of movement and because standard filler is not a flexible product it will crack should these panels shift. I suggest using a paint scraper to try and remove all the broken and loose filler that has come off the ceiling. Sand the surface lightly and wipe it off to make sure that it is dust free. I recommend using UNi-PRO 500g Multi Purpose Interior Filler - 500g to fill the cracks. Once the filler cures you can then lightly sand down the surface so that it is level, wipe the surface clean before you paint it with ceiling paint.
Generally speaking, I would recommend using a flexible filler, but because the gap is so small it will not work properly.
If you need further assistance, please let us know.
Eric
