Re: Can you cut and stain Specrite panels?

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @Rondownunder. It's terrific to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about Specrite panels.

Yes, the Specrite Brown Acacia multi-use panel can be cut and stained to suit your project. After cutting the panel with a fine-tooth blade on a circular saw, sand the edges with fine-grit sandpaper to smooth out any roughness and prepare them for staining. You can then apply a matching wood stain to the cut edges using a cloth or brush to blend the exposed areas with the rest of the panel.

If you wish to achieve a lighter or different colour, you’ll need to sand back the entire panel’s existing finish before applying a new stain. For added durability, consider sealing the panel with a protective topcoat once the staining is complete. If you need help selecting the right stain, visit the paint shop team at your local Bunnings, where they can guide you in finding a colour that matches or complements the original finish.

Please let me know if you have any questions.
