So when i moved into my house in 2020 the oven door seal appeared to be cactus so i have never really used it as i’m not that handy and it’s just been storage this whole tome while we have used air fryers or toaster ovens instead
now that my kids are getting older i want to do activities like baking so i’m going to need to use the oven. And i’m also going to try and install a little benchtop cupboard for storage where the toaster oven/ air fryer has always been as i wont need them once the oven is fixed
how would i go about fixing the oven door seal ?
what things would i need?
is there anything i would need to do before using the oven ?
Afternoon @ameliam
I know that feeling on using things other then the oven/stove for cooking I need to replace my stove as well.
With the oven seal, sadly Bunnings dont sell them. However a quick search online for your oven and the model number plus "oven seal" (the model will probarly be listed on the side or back of it) will give you the specifics to be able to order one with heat proof glue if needed. I often look up the model I am working on for specific instructions as well.

Hello @ameliam
That is excellent advice coming from @Dave-1. To narrow down the search, your oven will have an identity tag either somewhere around the door or the outside lip of the oven front. My best advice is to give the oven a thorough clean and test that all the oven functions are still working properly.
