Hey Everyone,
I recently moved in to a home and realised that the rangehood is not working. I then decided to remove the unit and purchase a new one.
Once i removed it, i realised that I do not have any ducting connected to the rangehood and then I did my research and understood that there are 3 ways going about this:
1. Install ducting to a flume.
2. allow fumes and oils to go to the attic (space between ceiling and roof)
3. allow fumes and oils to go to the buffer space between the cabinets and the ceiling (can be seen in the photo).
I am unsure if the fumes and oils are actually going to that buffer but i saw that at the top of the White wooden box in the first image it is blocked by insulation. is this normal?
I am unsure what to do here. Should I leave this as it is? Do you reckon the fumes are going to the soffit? Do you think i need to get a ducting kit?
I would really appreciate your help and support.
