The electrician has completed wall chasing, what type of plaster do you recommend we use? I also need a corrugated aluminium channel to insert in over the cable, what type of channel would you recommend?
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @SGall. It's brilliant to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about patching a wall.
I’m not aware of any specific corrugated aluminium channel designed for this purpose. It’s worth checking with your electrician, as they may have access to a specialised product that suits your requirements.
Once the cable protection is installed—usually done by the electrician to ensure compliance with safety codes—you can fill over it using hardwall plaster. This is a durable option ideal for patching chases in walls. Be sure to allow the plaster to fully dry before sanding it smooth and finishing it with a topcoat of your choice.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
