Hello @janeallen
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's wonderful to have you join us.
Allow me to tag @mich1972 to make them aware of your questions. Looking at the photos they posted, it appears that the used cable ties to hold the material together. It also looks like they used Crafted 6mm x 50m Natural Jute Cord or similar for effect.
If you have any other questions we can help with, please let us know.

Thank you Eric much appreciated. Also has anyone any ideas I have a bathroom with tarazzo floor its really old had it redone but still looks dirty am I able to tile over it or is there anything to make it look better thanks jane π
Hello @janeallen
To change your flooring without removing it, I suggest thinking about using Large Vinyl Sheets that can be laid out and cut to fit your bathroom area. Another option is to paint the tiles with Dulux Renovation Range.
