Hi, I saw the other post said some of stores have free wood pallets for customers.
Do you have any pallets in Minchinbury or Blacktown?
Thanks
Hello @giwan
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's great to have you join us, and thank you for sharing your question about free pallets.
The best way to find out if a store has free pallets available without going there would be to contact them directly. In this case, you can give Bunnings Minchinbury a call on Ph: (02) 8882 0600. Just ask to speak with a team member in the timber yard, and they'll be happy to let you know if they have anything that suits your needs.
I was in contact with these stores a few weeks back and they had some pallets to spare, but it's always prudent to call before going.
We look forward to seeing your pallet project.

Hi,
Are the free pallets from Bunnings safe to reuse and up cycle, would any of the free ones put out have been treated with Methyl Bromide?
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @Frenchie. It's wonderful to have you join us, and many thanks for your questions about pallet treatment.
I would play it safe and just assume that everything has been chemically treated and not use pallet timber for things it shouldn't be, like chopping boards or serving platters. Keep it well away from food. You'd certainly want to avoid any MB stamps that stand for methyl bromide, which is a toxic treatment.
If you can let us know what you plan on making, our helpful members might have some advice for you.

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @nic3. It's great to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about finding free pallets.
The first place I'd suggest would be at Bunnings Mornington. We often put out free pallets for our customers to collect for use in projects. Just give the team in the timberyard a quick call before heading in to make sure some are available. Depending on our deliveries and day of the week, availability can vary.

We're looking forward to seeing what you create.

Hello @dash2
Welcome to the Bunnings workshop community. It's fabulous to have you join us, and thank you for sharing your question about pallets.
It sounds like you're planning a pallet project. The good news is that pallets are totally free. I recommend calling your nearest store and asking them if they have any pallets to give away. These pallets are usually recycled if not picked up by D.I.Y. enthusiasts such as yourself.
Please keep us updated with your progress, we look forward to seeing the start of your pallet project.
