What shed flooring should I use?
Hi my name is Alexandria,
i recently bought one of your sheds 3.00m x 1.53m . Since you don’t put them up unless they are going up on a concrete slab. ( I am putting mine in my garden). I am wondering the best and most cost effective flooring as I have to try and put the shed up myself.
have advertised on various pages but either they don’t service my area or are way over priced.
Looking to firstly set up the flooring ? Is this the first step ? And want it to be water proof , I liked the sketch of the flooring you did for someone , would that be expensive for my size shed.
I have floor tiles that were given to me as well.
how long in hours do you think it would take 1 person to put that size shed up.
you advice would be appreciated .

Re: What shed flooring should I use?
Hi @KDramalover,
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. We're pleased to have you join us and look forward to seeing all your projects and plans for around the house and garden.
Our team will always stress that shed manufacturers typically state what type of bases their sheds can be installed upon and specify appropriate fixings. Most of the time, this is a concrete base. If you were to stray away from manufacturer directions on suitable bases, you might experience warranty issues, or in the worst case scenario, your shed could blow away in high winds and cause significant damage or injury.
Would you consider pouring a concrete slab in your garden? We have a step-by-step guide How to pour a concrete slab by experienced community member @tom_builds so you can do it yourself. We would also be happy to assist along the way. Please let us know what you think.
You might also like to consult our guide How to waterproof a shed floor when you get to that stage in the project.

Re: What shed flooring should I use?
I would strongly recommend you contact your landlord to discuss options @KDramalover. They might consider it an asset to the property and share the cost.
As above, we recommend a slab for your safety and the protection of others. Your shed needs to be fixed down so it cannot move. A slab is the most appropriate base for a shed.

Re: What shed flooring should I use?
Hello @KDramalover (Alexandria)
Just keep in mind that if you manage to convince your landlord about the concrete slab, this opens up the window for you to use the stores shed installation service again.
If you have any other questions we can help with, please let us know.
