Looking for a solution to cut blocks of ice easy. Table saw is my best idea but would need to be able to handle the water. Any idea?
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @aerin. It's wonderful to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about cutting ice.
I have to say, in my 19 years with Bunnings, you're the first person to ask me for advice on a saw to cut ice.
A bow saw with its coarse teeth should do a reasonable job of cutting through ice. A chain saw goes through ice very efficiently. What size are these ice blocks, and how many will you need to cut through?
I'd imagine if you wanted to use a bandsaw, you'd need something of professional quality that was designed specifically for that purpose. Most bandsaws have the motor located at the bottom of the machine, and these wouldn't be suitable.
Looking forward to hearing more details on the project.
