I am wanting to line my old tin shed do I need to use building paper before I put insulation in and line it with plywood
Hi @jo620 , welcome to the community.
In regards to the building paper are you thinking of issues with condensation from the tin?
Yes but can I just put pink bats in then plywood
No probelm with that @jo620.
I have atatched a picture of my old shed that we did the same thing to , so you can see what it looks like
Great thank you looks like I have my next job lined up
Hi @jo620,
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community, it's great to have you with us.
I'd definitely be more comfortable installing insulation in a shed with some kind of vapour barrier between the metal and the insulation, as once the plywood goes over the top of the insulation, you're limiting the ventilation and the ability for the insulation to dry.
I'd use something like Thermakraft Vapour Shield 101 2100mm x 48m to stop the direct contact between the insulation and the metal. While it may not be 100% necessary, it certainly gives you some peace of mind that mould isn't growing behind the walls.
Let us know what you think.
