I,m thinking about is product to put between my Hiace van's steel floor & FormPly base for camper fit out,
is it best for aluminium foil side to be up against FormPly or down against van's steel floor..?

Hello @BundyBear
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about insulation.
From an installation point of view, I believe it would be better to have the foil face down as any condensation forming will get deflected by the foil. Whereas if it was in reverse the condensation would go into the insulation material which is not good. Even when installed in residential walls or flooring, the foil is always facing outwards.
Your camper project sounds very interesting, would it be possible for you to post a few progress shots while you are building it? I'm sure our members would be keen to see how you'll be modifying the vehicle.
