Re: Laundy sink tap is pretty well dead

Good Evening @razzamakazz

Want to hear something funny? I have the same issue lol Mine hasnt lost the nut on the underside totally yet but its loose.

If you look under your sink where the tap is, you will hopefully find something that looks like panel 5, 6 and 7 of the install guide. I am not sure its the same tap as yours but it shows what you can do to tighten it back up.

Mondella Cadenza 35mm Chrome Lever Kitchen Sink Mixer - WELS 4 Star 7.5L/min - Chrome  And then scroll down to guides and documents and open the installation guide. Instalation guide and also Specification will show you the profile of a similar looking tap.

There hopefully will be either a loose nut in the cupboard or still on the tap underside itself. It will be a tight spot probarlly to get into (hence why I havnt tightened my tap) You could use your phone camera to take a video and see if it makes sense or just some photos.

It does look like the rubber washer that it rests on has perished so you may need to get a replacement washer.

I would take some photos of your tap itself and post it here so the Bunnings crew @JacobZ and @MitchellMc or @EricL will be able to determine if they know the model of your tap.

Re: Laundy sink tap is pretty well dead

Hi @razzamakazz,

If you check under the cabinet, what do you see?

@Dave-1 has already provided some fantastic advice, which explains things nicely.

You should be able to just tighten up the fixing nut, but if there are any issues with it, it can be replaced with this Kinetic Mixer Tap Fixing Kit.

There is not a specific washer for underneath the tap body, but you may be able to find a suitable replacement in this Kinetic Assorted Sizes O Ring Kit.

Let me know what you think and if you have further questions, please don't hesitate to reach out.

Jacob
