So I've got that DIY itch again and one of the projects on my list is roof ventilation for the summer months, especially with our attic fully operational now. We have the tools and knowledge to get this project done, however what isn't settled is choosing between the traditional wind vents (which wife is advocating for) or the solar powered ones (I like new).
The issue I am facing is customer reviews, I have my eye on a couple of Ezylite solar vents but the reviews are just horrendous, research online is mixed with some people saying it's a scam, others saying it's fantastic. Has anyone in this community USED them, or know of anyone who has?
Would love some feedback before I pull the trigger on this one.

Hey @kiwiDIYchick,
So, the Airomatic in our setup is all about simplicity. We've got it hooked up to a regular power socket, aside from us actually pluging stuff in, this was all done by an electrician friend. Here's what that looks like:
That white plug you see is a Topersun Smart Plug. It's like the maestro behind the scenes. We can control it manually through our Google Home app (it can also be used on Alexa), making it a breeze to turn the Airomatic on and off, this is how it looks on our app:
Perfect for those nights when silence is golden, but we've got the automation to auto turn it off for us. We've had it on one night so far in the 2023-2024 summer, and we never heard it even though it's quite close to our bedroom.
Regards
Hi thanks for this info. I am considering replacing an old whirlybird with one of these Bradford units. Reasoning being the attic gets very hot on hot days and even with insulation I believe this is heating up the living space downstairs considerably. I will need to also install 2 bradford x eaves vents as I dont have any.
I was wondering what kind of foam did you use to make it snug inside. Would you happen to have any photos on installed?
And has is it still working well? My only concern with these is that they have a 2 year warranty on the motor so if that breaks after you need to fork out for replacement unit..
