I have an Ozito Power File in which the (rather small) carbon brushes have worn out - as they are designed to do in most electric motors. Usually, the brushes would be easaily replaced and available as a spare part, but not the case with this Ozito Power File. So for the want of a set of carbon brushes the tool is useless, although the rest of the tool is in good condition. It seems to me that Ozito is withholding spare parts so that we have to buy new tools. I think I have a right to repair my tools. From an environmental point of view, the waste here is phenomenal and reflects an incredibly greedy and irresponsible policy by Ozito, in my opinion. I would advise all purchasers to be careful about buying tools that you cannot repair.

Just to clarify its the importer and distributors obligation to carry reason able spare parts as they may sell to 10 different outlets eg Bunnings mitre 10.
It is un reasonable all those Bunning stores carry spares on shelves.
Thank fully the Bunnings team is keen to support this process directly with there supplier where ever possible. Thats what makes a good store /service the ones that help you when things go wrong.
I recently fixed a shower that was leaking I was talking with the importer and distributor for spare parts not the store where it was purchased.

Yes I also remember the beaches and bush with much more diverse wild life etc.
In Sydney the Classic Chrismas beetle is a rare thing these days and we used to get dozens we where picking up and putting back onto outside plants to carry on there business.

I apologise for the inconvenience regarding the unavailability of the brushes spare part for your machine. Typically, Ozito keeps spare parts for many years after an item is last sold. Unfortunately, we're currently experiencing issues obtaining the spare part for your machine and the current model.
Given that we cannot source this part, we’d be more than happy to replace your unit with the current model, even though it’s out of warranty. I’ve spoken with Jesiah, a manager at Bunnings Maroochydore, and he will assist with the swap. He works weeknights from 5 PM. If you can’t attend the store on a weeknight, please let me know, and I’ll facilitate the return with another manager.
