How to remove filter holder on Ryobi R18HVC?

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @howilliams. It's terrific to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about removing a filter.

The instructions show that the black outer filter unit should pull straight out first. If you re-attach the paper filter unit into it, you can then use the handle to pull it out. Once the outer unit is removed, you can detach the paper filter unit from inside it if needed. 

If you continue to have issues, you might like to take it to your nearest store and have a team member look at it to see whether it is jammed in place.
