Paint can help transform an old piece of furniture, creating a stylish new feature of any room.

Bunnings Workshop community members have shared many different upcycling projects transforming items like drawers, bookcases, buffets, tables, chairs, cabinets, entertainment units and more.

1. Upcycled timber cabinet by @inspiredbycoast

An old timber cabinet was transformed by sanding, then painting using Baritone by Taubmans. A plain timber top provided a great contrast.

7. Upcycled chest of drawers by @JoeAzza

An old chest of drawers was thoroughly sanded back and then painted in satin black. Four coats of the black satin were needed to get the right colour and then two coats of a matt varnish on the top finished the project.
