How to put a fly screen on a awning window with crank?

Hello,

Trying to figure out how I could add a fly screen to this window. There is no gap where it could fit when the window closes on the outside of the frame and the crank mechanism on the inside would obstruct any square frame.

Any ideas?

They fit on the inside of the trim which the window shuts up against with a cutout around the winder mechanism. It's great to see that @JDE has already jumped into the discussion and offered some helpful assistance.

You need to create a flat edge for the bottom of the flyscreen to sit on top of. If you can't get a hold of the spacer @JDE mentioned, you could fashion something out of some aluminium box tubing. You'd need to cut a small section out of the bottom to slot over the top of the winder mechanism. The section can be removed with a hack saw or Dremel.
