Hi, I recently installed my ring doorbell and it works great, but it gets covered in dust super easily and when wiping it off the doorbell gets scratched, any way to protect it without covering the sensors?
Hello @juyy7
Thanks for sharing your question about protecting your doorbell from dust. I've not seen a dedicated dust cover for the ring doorbell. I suggest thinking about building a timber cover shield for your doorbell. I've placed an image below to give you an idea how you can build it. If you are handy with Perspex, you can even place a clear sheet in front to prevent dust from landing on the unit itself.
Let me call on our experienced members @TedBear and @Dave-1 for their recommendations.

Good Evening @juyy7
Mmmm now thatis a challange for sure I get LOADS of dust at my place but havnt come across that issue yet. I am thinking of a little awning for the camera but that will only stop top down dust, not blown dust from settling.
Any chance of a photo of the camera and area it sits in? As for wiping the lens I would just use a soft material piece of cloth. Even to put a hook on the inside of the door somewhere so you dont need to "reach" for it when needed.
Does the dust degrade the picture quality is one last question? As in can you see the dust withing the picture?
