How to fix screen door roller?

Hi

Could I get some advice on how to fix the roller of screen door please?

the wheels are broken but the set seems are ok, and they are attached using rivet nut.

i am wondering if I can just replace the wheels? I found some videos online but they are mostly around replacing the whole set.

thanks in advance

Re: How to fix screen door roller?

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @aq. It's wonderful to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about replacing rollers.

Provided you can pull the roller wheel out so we can match it up with one in-store then replacing just the roller is possible. I suggest taking it into a store so a team member can match it up with one in a packet. It will likely resemble the Cowdroy 36mm Sliding Track Door Wheel.

You might need to use a pair of needle-nosed pliers to pull the wheel out of the carriage.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Re: How to fix screen door roller?

Hi @aq

To get the rivets out simple drill into them using the rivit  hole as centre us  a similar sized drill bit as the  rivit 4mm drill bit should  do the trick

naturally you will need new rivets and a  hand riviting tool using the same size rivets that  came out.  Like on the  you tubes.

After you install the new wheels  from bunning soon just be mindfull  they are adjustable for  your  proper smooth door  running usually an   adjustable screw inside the roller mechanisim just in case  your door seams to be dragging it might need some fine tuning.

Bunning rollers  cover most of the roller doors out there.
