Hi all,
Any tips on how I would go about repairing a slate tile that is cracked like this? As you can see it's not just cracked but has left a pocket of debris that would need to be filled.
Hi @Rigby,
Thank you for your question and welcome to the Bunnings workshop community, it is fantastic to have you join us.
If it's possible, removing and replacing the tile is going to be the best method of fixing this issue. If there were some spare tiles kept from the installation, this would certainly be the best way to go.
If this is not a possibility, I'd suggest you might be able to employ the method @MitchellMc has given in How to repair holes in slate tiles?
It is worth noting that it would be quite difficult to perfectly match the colour of the surrounding tile, so finding someone who specializes in slate tile repairs might be the best thing you can do.
You might like to have a look for someone who specializes in this kind of repair that is close to you. A service like HiPages or True Local might help.
Let me know if you have any further questions.
Jacob
