I have existing aluminium sliding windows in a colorbond profile exterior wall. I am wanting to add a frame around the window to accentuate it rather than the drab aluminium window look. I have looked at timber mouldings but they are too thick. The window edging is about 1mm. I have looked at powder coated aluminum bar but not sure how I would fix it to the profiled wall. Any solutions or better ideas?
Hello @MitchH
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about installing a fake window surround.
For a quick and easy upgrade, I suggest looking at the metal mate angle bracket. They come in a few different sizes, and you can spray paint the surface to your preferred colour. I propose visiting your local store and having a look at the aluminium angles and see which size suits your needs.
In regards on how to fix it in place, I propose using Selleys 310g Liquid Nails Mirror Metal And Glass Adhesive in combination with blind rivets.
Let me call on our experienced members @Dave-1 and @Nailbag for their recommendations.
If you need further assistance, please let us know.

Evening @MitchH
I am having a hard time picturing the window and thickness that you want. I sthere a chance of a few photos to show?
An overall one showing the whole door frame,
One closer one showing the depth of the existing edge,
And maybe one showing the depth from the edge of the frame to the glass.
Im thinking of the right angle that @EricL has suggested as wrapping around the frame, just want to see a photo to see if I have it right.
