I have a plywood storage box with lid that I wish to make waterproof that will be outside.I have sandered it down and ready to stain, so is there a paint that would do the job?
Hello @buddha
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about using a plywood storage box.
If the material you've used is not meant for outside use even if you coat it with oil or paint, it will not last as long as a properly treated panel like Marine plywood. However, if you did use Marine plywood then you can use standard exterior paint on the entire box. A good primer would be Crommelin 1L Flat Aquablock Waterproof Primer Undercoat and for the topcoat you can use either Dulux Weathersheild or Taubmans Sunproof.
If you used ordinary plywood, you could still use the paint I suggested, but the box must be kept undercover away from rain or harsh sunlight. Exposure to the elements will shorten the life of the box.
