Materials

Gravel, Turf Stone blocks, 100 mm x 3M H4 Logs . 450mm Tent Pegs

Tools

Pick, Barrow, Shovel, Rubber hammer, Weighted hammer, Ryobi Drill, Drill Bits, Cultivator tool. Torpedo evel and long level

Steps

Step 1

Hi all, we have an unusual backyard in Brisbane suburb as 33% has been natural bush since we built 30 years ago.

Step 1. Identify the path you want and clear any undergrowth out. Get down to base soil.

Step 2

Once you visualise the path you want, prepare the ground and keep level on the horizon for walking. On the vertical you can have a gentle slope until you need to build in a step.

Step 3

String line your project from the start and view it from all angles

Re: Natural Bush path in 2024

Hello @Brissy39

Thank you for sharing your natural bush path project. I believe a natural bush path is the most environmentally friendly path you can create. Pebbles, sand and timber are enough to create a path that will last a long while. The best part is that once that it has spread out too far or has worn away in certain locations, it can be restored using the same materials.

Many thanks for sharing.

Eric
