Closing minor gaps in wooden deck

There was a 1cm gap between the spa cedar deck and the Kwila deck that runs parallel to the cedar deck. The gap came about because i preferred to keep the full lengths of Kwila at the front(so it looks good) and have the odd gap at the back. The challenge was to close this gap. Cutting a piece of kwila and then trying to ram it into the space was not an option. Using aluminium to close the gap was the best option.

Re: Closing minor gaps in wooden decks.

Hello @Oreoprojects

That gap cover is very nicely done. The best part is it's made of low-profile aluminium which will provide a long service life. It can be taken off and put right back in with very little worry should any repairs need to be done.

Many thanks for sharing.
