Hi Team, re: my recent retaining requirement we bit the bullet and had some nice limestone walls built. Now my question what’s the best/ easiest way to waterproof behind the walls ? I ideally don’t want to have to deal with messy bitumen paint but will if I have to. 🤷♂️ 🙏
Hi @PscottDIY,
I'd recommend using Crommelin 15L Blackseal Heavy Duty Bitumen Waterproofing Membrane. It's a water-based bitumen that is far less potent smelling, or messy than older types and has an easy clean-up in water.
Ensure the wall is free from dust before application to ensure it binds correctly.
Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks @MitchellMc , could black plastic be an option instead of painting ?
Black plastic wouldn't really seal the back of the wall as it's not adhered to it @PscottDIY. Water would still find its way behind it.
