Hi 👋,
How can I repair this or does it need to be replaced?
Thanks
Hello @Ruth_D
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about your external sliding door.
The good news is that your doors can be repaired. The general steps would be to sand your doors down and fill the damaged areas with timber filler. When the filler cures you sand the door down again so that the filled areas are at the same level as the timber. The door is then wiped clean, and you then paint or stain it with your preferred colour.
Please note that if you are after a touch up repair, it will be extremely difficult to colour match your existing door colour. Due to fading and exposure to the elements your door is no longer its original colour. My best suggestion is thinking of painting it a new colour or you can use a stain and varnish product to seal your doors.
