Hi all, I am in need of some ideas on how to remove this soil/mud from the narrow gap between lawn retaining wall and fence.
i don’t want to uproot my fence(15m long) to clean this area.
Are there any mud extraction pumps available that can draw this soil out.
any other ideas welcomed!
thanks
Faisal
Hello @nfaisal10204508
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about removing mud on your fence.
Looking at the photo that you've posted, I can only suggest using a garden trowel and manually clearing the space. Using a narrow shovel might work, but there is also the possibility that the shovel will damage the finish of the Colorbond fence. I'm currently unaware of a dry soil pump that you can use for that area. The pumps available at the store can only pump water with mixed solids but not dry soil.
If you need further assistance, please let us know.

Thank you Eric. What if I use my pressure washer to break this soil down into a slurry and use a pump of some kind to extract it out.
I am really worried abt my back doing this manually.
Hello @nfaisal10204508
Using your pressure washer is a possible option, just be aware that the excess water will turn to mud and flow onto the other side of the fence which is your neighbour's property. They might not be too happy with the muddy waters flowing on their driveway. The water will not stay long in that section and will immediately flow away so putting in a pump will not be practical. If you are worried for your back, I suggest engaging the services of a handy person who can clean the gap for you.
If you need further assistance, please let us know.

Thanks Eric.
looks like getting the fence lifted is the only viable option.
