How to remove bleach marks from tiles?

I was about to clean the balcony as I just moved in. However, I mistakenly sprayed the chemical that contains bleach. After I washed the floor, there were some white spots similar like a white paint. Tried to get rid of them with hot water & scrub it. But it still showing like this.

does anyone can help me how to get rid of this? Which chemical that I need to purchase from bunnings?

thank you

Re: how to get rid this white spots?

Hi @nindya

You have created the reverse of dirty spots.  You  have ultra  clean spots they are  just as  hard to blend in.

I would use  some of the same cleaning solution you  used to make the marks on a  cloth and try wetting the marks and rubbing them this may start  to soften there strong outlines and make the marks  less obvious.

Use caution in a test area as not to make the situation worse.

I also think  isee the white bits being in little hollow dimple areas.  So a  bristled scrubbing brush or  old tooth brush may get into the hollows  better,

Try blending the contrasting  shades together.

Another solution is to color the white patches  with a gray texta or pencil to  Do test smallest  patch first.

Try  using dirty water on the white it will start staining the areas  back to  the same , Time will do this  to.

Re: how to get rid this white spots?

Hi @nindya,

A warm welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community, it is wonderful to have you with us.

It's great to see @Jewelleryrescue has already given you some advice. As he has said, it looks like the chemical you have used has bleached small splotches on your tiles.

There aren't really specific chemicals that can reverse this because bleaching essentially removes the colour. Over time they should fade as it gets a bit dirtier but colouring them with a matching-coloured pencil or pen could work.

You could try mixing water with baking soda to create a paste. Apply the paste to the affected areas, let it sit for about 10-15 minutes, and scrub gently with a soft brush or sponge. Then, rinse thoroughly with water.

Let me know what you think.

Jacob
