Hi
Need some advice on how to lay gravel/stones with a stepping stone pavers for a foot path on existing concrete.
What base do I need on top of concrete before gravel and pavers and what edging do I use on concrete?
My hubby and I are not very handy so as much advice would be appreciated 🙂
This area will be used for a firepit and seating.
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @Tufaina. It's brilliant to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about laying stepping stone pavers.
Typically, you'd bed pavers into a sand base. Check out this guide on How to lay paving for a path. Since you already have a solid base with the concrete slab, you might like to lay a mortar bed for the pavers and position them permanently. You can then fill around them with your gravel.
Where will you be placing the edging? Is there soil off to the side of the slab, or do you want the edging connected to the slab? Generally, edging is designed to fix into soil. Have a look at this article on How to choose garden edging, as I'm sure it will be helpful.
I'll be looking forward to your project coming together. Please let me know if you have any questions.
