There’s a hole in exterior wall just next to the window frame, looking for advice how to fix it. Thank you
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @nikichen323. It's terrific to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about filling a gap.
A good way to tackle this is to start by filling the void with expanding foam. Expanding foam is a great material for filling gaps like this because it expands to fill the space and will help to insulate the area. Be sure to apply the foam carefully, as it can expand quite a bit—just fill the gap to slightly below the surface of the timber window frame.
Once the foam has fully cured, you can cut it back with a utility knife or saw so that it’s level with the surrounding surface. After that, you can move on to the timber part of the window frame. Be sure to use a good quality exterior paint like Dulux Weathershield to ensure long-lasting results.
This approach should leave your window frame looking neat and fully sealed.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
