How to fill holes in brick wall?

These holes are 8mm x 90mm long. I am wanting to fill them in as we have removed the clothes line.

I am considering selleys brick and mortar, but not sure if the nozzle would go as deep as 90mm.

Re: Fill holes in Brick wall

Hi @foxhound,

Thank you for your question about how to fill some holes in your brick wall.

Instead of Selleys Brick and Mortar, I would suggest using Mortafil in the closest shade to your bricks. Looking at your photo, it could be any of Cream, Limestone or Pale Limestone

As the containers are see-through, you can compare them against the wall before opening. If you'd like, you could buy all three, bring them home, use the closest and return the two that you don't use.

You'll be able to put the nozzle a fair way down the hole, but this shouldn't matter, just keep pumping your filler into the hole until it won't accept any more. You can then wipe away any excess to give a nice clean finish that is flush with the surface of the brick.

To go the extra mile, let the filler dry a bit and dab it with a wet cloth to texture the filler to match the surrounding bricks.

Let me know what you think and if you have further questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

Re: Fill holes in Brick wall

Thank you Jacob, I have followed your advise and used Mortarfil to fill in those holes in the Brick.

The texture is great and filled in nicely,
