How to extend elevated concrete slab and build verandah?

Hello, I'm planning to build a verandah on a concrete slab (4.9m x 1.8m) that's off the ground. Is it possible to somehow extend the area of the concrete slab?

If not, for the verandah, can I bolt down steel posts on this slab, uneven 80mm-100mm depth, and attach to the timber fascia?

I've tried searching online for a similar build on an elevated slab but no luck. Hoping its the same process as building on the ground.

Unfortunately, this is not something I would advise you to carry out as a D.I.Y. project.

Extending the suspended slab is likely possible but would require several processes to be followed for it to be both safe and compliant with construction standards and regulations. Suspended slabs are often used in high-rise construction where on-site engineers oversee the entirety of the build to ensure they comply with construction standards.

If you wanted to extend the slab, I'd suggest contacting a structural engineer for their guidance. They will be able to advise on the feasibility of your project and direct you towards a suitable contractor that is capable of carrying out the work in line with the relevant construction standards.

Constructing a roof structure on the suspended slab is also likely possible, but due to the complex nature of the build, a structural engineer, your local council and a suitably licenced contractor would need to be involved in the process.

As a starting point, my suggestion is to contact your local council to discuss what they require in terms of engineering, building plans and permits. This should give you an idea of what is required for a project of this kind to proceed.
