Hello!
I'd like to know if its okay to attach shade sail to fascia and garage wall (see below image)?
Do I need to add anything additional to make it safe and secure?
Should it be set in an angle (slope) for water flow?
Hello @prakashkalai
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about installing shade sail.
Shade sails and shade cloth act like real sails on a sailboat. If a strong amount of wind were to catch your shade sail it would literally pull your fascia and brick wall apart. The best way to install shade sail is to use fence posts concreted into the ground properly.
If it is a large shade cloth you are installing, I suggest engaging the services of a registered builder. They will know how deep the post has to be buried and what mounting buckles to use.
If you need further assistance, please let us know.

Ah okay, thanks @EricL !
I had pergola and polycarbonate roofing as my second choice. Is that possible to achieve in my case? If so I ll create a new post, if needed, with my questies and plans.
Hello @prakashkalai
Building a pergola and using polycarbonate roofing sounds like an excellent idea. I propose starting a new discussion so that there will be no confusion as to what project you are working on.
We look forward to seeing your plans.
