How to anchor patio post to existing slab?

Wanting to put in a patio on an exiting slab.  The slab is 100mm thick with reo mesh in it and what’s the best way to anchor the posts to it safely.

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @halla. It's wonderful to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about attaching posts to a slab.

Something along the lines of a Pryda 90mm M10 Bolt Down Post Anchor fixed to the slab with Dynabolts should do the job. I presume you might be constructing a pergola, so you might need to enlist the services of an engineer to determine the appropriate attachment if it is of an overly large size. Also, don't forget to consult with the council to see whether you require a permit for your project.
