Someone ripped off the back of our brick letterbox. Should I use silicone or glue
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @Christine12. It's terrific to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about repairing a letterbox.
Would it be possible for you to upload some images so our members can better understand the repair you need to make? Let me know if you need a hand posting images.
It sounds like the frame section of the rear door has been separated from the bricks. If so, I suggest using Selleys 350g Liquid Nails Heavy Duty or Sika 290ml Sikaflex®-118 Extreme Grab Construction Adhesive.
Were any fixings involved in the attached, or was it only glued on?
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Mitchell
no fixings that i can see, just glued on, will liquid nails secure the frame on the bricks?
I will attach images when i get home tonight
The heavy-duty version I linked to will, @Christine12. It's designed for use on metal and masonry surfaces.
