We are looking to use the bunnings.com.au/outdoor-paver-60-x-60-x-2cm-porcelain-enstone-anthracite_p0128733
which we love the look of. We need to know the best way to adhere these to the concrete once it is dry? It is a big area and we will be doing this ourselves so any assistance would be greatly appreciated. We have already brought the pavers.
Hello @Shorty75
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's marvellous to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about adhering pavers to concrete.
I suggest having a quick look at this discussion - What adhesive and grout for paving backyard area? by @jaydenRadisich. In the discussion they wanted to use the Dunlop 8kg Wall and Floor Tile Adhesive. But please allow me to find out if there are other products that are compatible with the Dunlop adhesive. As soon as I have more information, I'll get back to you.

Hello EricL
Great to be part of the workshop community. I love DIY and working in the garden and surrounding areas.
Thak you very much for any assistance you give us in information about products and will have a look at the discussion suggested.
Our area is about 53m2 (9.5 meters by about 5.5meters), it will have a roof and screens (flyscreen only) so no necessarily will get too much rain or water. So adhesive and grout options for those conditions please.
Thanks
Shorty75
Hello @Shorty75
Thank you for your patience. I've spoken to my supplier, and they have suggested Dunlop 20kg Mastic Tile Adhesive as another adhesive you can use on top of your concrete base. They also suggested that you wash the back of the pavers with ordinary water and a scrub brush to remove any dusty residue that might still be attached when the paver was produced.
Please make sure that the paver is totally dry before putting it on your concrete base. I also suggest making sure that your concrete base is totally cured and free of moisture before you begin paving. Paving too early with trapped moisture in the concrete base will compromise the adhesive and the paver will come off.
Please remember to wear personal protection such as gloves, goggles and a mask when working on your project.
If you need further assistance, please let me know.
Eric
Hi EricL
Thank you for the information. Did they suggest how many bags we would need to cover the area we are doing?
Shorty75
Hi @Shorty75,
Each Dunlop 20kg Mastic Tile Adhesive bag covers approximately 10m2. So, you'll need around six bags for your area. You also asked about grout, and Dunlop 5kg Flexible Coloured Grout - White would be suitable. It grouts up to 27m2, so you'll need just over two packs, but I'd grab three just in case.
Mitchell
Hi MitchellMc
thats great we will use both of those products. Will post pictures once we have completed the paving.
