Just finished decking this entry path and looks amazing and wasn’t as hard as I thought which has given me the confidence to start on the longer path. I cut the slats to 80cm long and waterproofed the underside then I used decking screws to screw them on, I already had a frame from the pvc plantation shutters leftover so I used that. I then bought some pebble lock to keep the sides neat when I went to add the pebbles and then I sanded the whole path with 80grit and whitewashed with a stain from zinsser finally for the fun part of styling and buying plants and pots to add a pop of colour .
Hello @selva
What a fantastic clever idea of using your plantation shutters as a frame for your entry path. It's great that you've waterproofed the underside of the timber panels, this will protect it from being overly saturated with ground moisture. The Zinsser stain looks awesome and blends in so well with the pebbles and the upper deck of your house. How long did the project take you to assemble?
Thank you for sharing such a wonderful project.
