Cubby House Base

Easiest way to join these painted treated pine sleepers together to form a base for a cubby house to sit on ? Will lay 8 out them out side by side and hoping to fix them from the top.

Re: Cubby House Base

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @stagwad. It's wonderful to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about joining sleepers.

Fixing from the top might not be all that aesthetically pleasing. From underneath, you could use a few lengths of Airco 30 x 1.0mm x 30m Structural Galvanised Strapping which would allow you to screw into each sleeper. It can then be flipped over and built upon. Additional nailing plates could be used on the ends to fix the sleepers together.

From the top, unless you're going to use some type of visible bracket, I think the best you could do is skew screw through the face of one sleeper into the edge of the next.

Please let me know if you have any questions.
