Which is the best staple gun to use?
Hi- I’m restoring an old wooden room divider, and would like to cover one side of it with fabric over batting, to give it a bit of softness.
I’m guessing the simplest way to attach the batting and then the fabric will be using staples, and then covering the staples with a line of ribbon- but I’d certainly appreciate any suggestions on the best approach!
if a staple gun is the way to go, which type should I rent from Bunnings?
Thanks in advance for your thoughts!
Cheers,
Judith

Re: Which is the best staple gun to use?
Hi @Judith2,
If you were going to cover the staples with ribbon, a staple gun sounds like the way to go, or you could use upholstery nails.
I recommend you go for either a heavy-duty staple gun or an electric Ozito 8-14mm Stapler Nail Gun. The heavy-duty nail gun requires some hand force to fire, so if you need to fix a couple dozen staples, the electric option would be quite convenient.
We don't currently offer a stapler for hire.
We'd love to see your project when you're done.
Please let me know if you have any questions.

Re: Which is the best staple gun to use?
Thanks Mitchell- I appreciate the tip about using an electric staple gun- there will be more than a few staple involved!
sorry to hear Bunnings doesn’t rent them out!
Best Wishes,
judith
