Re: Painted cabinet using Cabots timber paint

Hello @inspiredbycoast

Thank you very much for sharing your upcycled cabinet project. The cabinet finish is wonderful, but I am intrigued by the finish of the cabinet top. You mentioned that you applied white stain and glaze, can you please tell us more about that? What were the products you used to get such a bright looking top?

Again, thank you for sharing such an excellent project.

Re: Painted cabinet using Cabots timber paint

Thanks Eric. The top I used another product which is a white stain and glaze from Pureco Australian based company. And I then sealed it with Cabot's cabothane clear

Re: Painted cabinet using Cabots timber paint

Hey there,

Did you use a water base or oil based paint? and did you apply with just paint brushes or with rollers? (if with roller what kind/nap)

Hello @JesseS6

Let me tag @inspiredbycoast to make them aware of your question. I suspect a roller was used to apply the paint, but let's wait for Inspiredcoastal to confirm.

Are you planning your own upcycle project? Please remember to post an update. I'm sure our members will be keen to see your project.

If you have any other questions we can help with, please let us know.

@JesseS6

Hi Jesse,

Apologies in delay in replying. I used a brush and a 4mm nap roller 🙂
