Hi, this is my first post so hope I get it right. my TV is 95 cm wide x 56 cm and weighs 28 kg. I have purchased a Click Full Motion TV wall bracket, Model ME 20MDW, which weighs just over 5 kg. The wall I want to hang the TV on is single skin construction and is made of fibre cement containing asbestos, framed by hardwood. The wall panel is 114 cm wide and the timber framework it sits in is 8 cm deep. The panel already has a hole drilled into it, which the antennae lead is threaded through so I won’t need to disturb the asbestos. The photo is of a similar panel (as I don’t want to move TV at moment). I am hoping a grid can be made up and wonder how it could be fastened into the existing hardwood frame to take the weight? Thankyou for your help.
Hello @Feral
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's wonderful to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about hanging your TV.
I propose using 70x35 untreated timber to build a small frame with a buffer so that you can still close your windows. I've placed an image below to give you an idea of how it can be built, you'll need to drill pilot holes in the hardwood timber in order to anchor the frame properly. You can modify it to your hearts content by adding shelves and painting it whatever colour you want. I recommend using Zenith 10 - 8 x 75mm Treated Pine Countersunk Head Screws - 50 Pack to anchor everything together.
If you need further assistance, please let us know.

Hi @Feral,
It sounds like you're aware of the dangers of asbestos, but for the safety of anyone coming across this discussion, it's important not to disturb the material in any way. If you are unsure or need to work in close proximity to asbestos, always consult a professional to ensure proper handling and minimise risk.
