How to design a walk-in-robe?
I need some help designing the perfect Walk In Robe.
The room shape is a U as shown in picture above with measurements.
We have found looks that we like (see the two pics above) but none are a full fit to our room.
My thoughts were in the U shape picture of the robe above is to have the Centre upper as a Mirror (instead of hanger) and the Lower half to be wide drawers (instead of a hanger).
On the sides we would like a tall set of 5 Drawers and a couple of shelves (See top pic above) (60cm wide) and then have a double hang and a long hang on each side. if room a slim shoe shelf on each side aswell.
If you could help size up a design and quote to do this with this room would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks Steve

Re: WIR design Help
Hello @SteveCleave
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about your wardrobe.
I suggest having a quick peek at the Lugna Wardrobe designer. You'll be able to generate a quick plan along with a quote for the cabinets you'll be using. In the meantime, I'll see if I can put together a wardrobe together for you using the Bedford cabinet systems. As soon as I finish, I'll post the plans here.
Thank you for your patience.

Re: How to design a walk-in-robe?
Hello @SteveCleave
My apologies for the late reply. I was actually referring to the Flexi Wardrobe systems not the Bedford set. There are a few ways you can configure the cabinetry.
First:
- Flexi Storage Wardrobe White Matte 1 Hang Rail And 2 Shelf Unit (X7)
- Flexi Storage Wardrobe White Matte 3 Shelf & 4 Drawer Unit (X2)
With this configuration the cabinet with the hang rail can actually be reconfigured to your desired half and full-length hang. Please note that the top shelf can't be moved as it keep s the cabinet stable. The set starts with the cabinet with the hang rail in the centre where you can put the mirror and the two cabinets with drawers to the side. You also have the choice of turning the centre cabinet into a drawer cabinet so that you will have three cabinets with drawers. The sides will be composed of the same cabinet with hang rails with at least three on each side.
You can configure them as you please. Due to the cabinets depth size there will be a 50mm gap on the side of the drawers on each side. Just keep that in mind when you assemble the set. Currently this is set up would be worth 2,123.00, please note that prices are subject to change.
Second:
- Flexi Storage Wardrobe White Matte 3 Shelf & 4 Drawer Unit (X2)
- Flexi Storage Wardrobe White Matte 6 Shelf Corner Unit (X2)
- Flexi Storage Wardrobe White Matte 1 Hang Rail And 2 Shelf Unit (X2)
This set-up gives you more shelves in the corners, but you'll need to use the Flexi Storage Wire Shelf system to take up the remaining space. It is flexible and can be cut to size to fit the space that you have. I'm sorry but the Flexi Storage does not carry wide drawer shelves. But the shelves are adjustable and can be removed. This set up is worth 2118
If you have any other questions we can help with, please let us know.
Eric
