Hello,
I was wondering how can i use this area better (attached image). One option could be building a chest of drawers for this.
Is there any other better option?
If chest of drawer is the best option, I would highly appreciate some help in choosing materials, and designing + assembly instructions.
I am a complete beginner, would love to do my first DIY on this.
Dimensions:
Width = 920 mm
Height = 680 mm
Depth = 600 mm
Hi @ujjwalbatra,
Adding a Bedford 900mm White 2 Door High Moisture Resistant Base Slimline Cabinet would be a good way to fill the space. Just ensure that the 920mm measurement is between the skirting board and not between the walls as you'll need the full 900mm to insert the cabinet. We're not going to get drawer that fit the 900mm gap perfectly but you could use two Flexi Storage Wardrobe 400mm White Matte 4 Drawer Units and enclose the remaining 120mm with a filler panel.
Alternatively, you could look at creating your own custom-made drawer solution, but you'll likely find that by the time you purchase timber, brackets, fixings, runners and handles, it would cost more than the pre-fabricated units.
Please let me know if you have any questions.

Hello Mitchell,
Thanks for the recommendations.
Both of those options seem to have more height than the available space. Is there a way for me to modify them to fit?
Thanks,
Ujjwal
Unfortunately, most prefab cabinets are going to suit bench heights @ujjwalbatra. The other option is for you to custom-build something to suit that space, or look for storage drawers that could be simply added to the space.
