Is the spectate board safe for food boards and pyograpy burning art
Hello @linnylance
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's marvellous to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about using Specrite panels for food boards and pyrography.
The light coloured Specrite panels are perfect for pyrography, but you'll need to be more specific regarding which panel you'll be using for food boards. If you can tell us which specific Specrite panel you'll be using, we can find out for you if it is food safe or not.
If you need further assistance, please let us know.
Eric
Thanks Eric that's great news 😀
it's the multi use pine panel and I've put food safe oil on them and sealed the wood
thanks

Hi @linnylance
Thank you so much for sharing these food boards, they look absolutely wonderful.
Eric
Thank you
Hi @linnylance,
I just wanted to confirm that provided you've sanded the Specrite panel and then coated it with a food-safe product (which it sounds like you've done), they are suitable to serve food on.
Great project by the way and please let me know if you have any questions.
Mitchell
Hi 👋
yes they were sanded and cleaned and have a food safe oil on them. The photo I sent hasn't been done yet but the others have several coats on them, and their definitely safe to do pyography on them not toxic.
thanks
Lyn
