Recycled a hutch and buffet furniture which now proudly sits as a centrepiece next to our dining room area.
1. Bought a used hutch and buffet table.
2. Removed glass doors at the top.
3. Sanded down timber
4. Whitewashed furniture except table top.
5. Applied linseed oil on tabletop
6. Replaced to vintage knobs
7. Accessorise.
Hello @lefthander07
Thank you so much for sharing your hutch and buffet upcycle project. That white finish gives the cabinet a fresh new look, that new seal on the benchtop looks fantastic. Your decision to remove the doors has made the cabinet look modern and much more open. How long did the entire project take and what kind of paint did you use?
Eric
Took me about 2 weeks. Mainly allowing the sanding process to settle and drying time for the paint.
I used vivid white which was the base paint leftovers for my house. 😊
