Upcycled cheese board and knives
On the weekend I made this bread board out of a bit of Aussie hardwood that I 'rescued' from a building site (I asked) and the cheese knives from a Banksia branch (on the lathe) from a garden pruning project. I thought they come up OK. Hoping the person that get's them likes them.

Re: Upcycled cheese board and knives
Hi @robchin
Thank you so much for sharing your cheeseboard project. Better to be rescued than to be thrown in the landfill. Your cheese board looks fantastic and the handles on the cheese knives are gorgeous. Did you leave it bare or did you put some oil on them?
We look forward to seeing your next rescue project.
Eric

Re: Upcycled cheese board and knives
Thanks for the positive feedback. Food safe mineral oil on the bread board but the turned handles on the cheese knives have some wood turners sealers and wax on them. As they will get wet and handled a bit more - need to be a bit hardier hence the extra work.
